Just a quick note to announce the release of OctoberPeaks 1.2 (and OctoberProject 1.4). Note that this is the first release where an OctoberPlains release isn't planned.
This is probably the largest point-release so far as it introduced some very large mechanics. Fire has been introduced and will destroy blocks and harm entities. Grass now spawns in the world and spreads to dirt blocks. Cave systems will now generate, both intersecting with the surface and underground. New "multi-block" support for blocks which are more than a single block in size but are to be considered logically one block.
As for 1.3, that release is mostly about improving the client-side application look and feel, so that it can be run with a double-click and server/world selection can be managed inside the app, instead of as arguments. Additionally, the plan is to increase render distance and make a few performance improvements.
Currently, 1.3 is the last planned release of 1.x before work on 2.0 opens up.
