Spent some time reading in the park, today, since it was warm-ish and I should spend some more time outside.
After coming back inside, I felt incredibly tired. I wonder if that is related to getting too much sun when I am not used to it.
In any case, tomorrow looks like it will be similar weather so I should take some kind of walk before the rain hits later in the week.
Other than that, mostly banging my head against this new OP movement design problem, since I think that this is the 4th design approach for this issue since the project started. What worries me is that I think the inevitable solution requires some really irritating anti-cheat logic, instead of a constrained data model transformation. That is disappointing but I am not sure that there is any other reasonable solution.
On the bright side, not only will this solution make movement less complicated (at its core, at least - anti-cheat considerations aside), but it will also make movement scheduling a non-issue, meaning that those context-specific rounding errors will no longer exist.
Resolving this will be nice, though, as the feel of movement is currently the main thing keeping me from enjoying play-testing. It just doesn't feel right and this should allow it to feel much more natural.
However, there is still much work to do and a few questions to answer,
