OctoberPeaks v1.0-pre5
The next milestone of OctoberPeaks development is released: v1.0-pre5.

This version adds several small changes and fixes a bunch of long-standing internal problems:
-UI cues are added to show when damage is being taken
-it is now possible "repair" blocks
-fall damage is now taken
-pause/resume functionality now exists in single-player
-ground inventories are now moved, instead of destroyed, when placing a block on them
-various bug fixes, mostly related to collision detection

This is the last pre-release planned for OctoberPeaks 1.0 as the next changes are all that is planned so they will become part of the 1.0-rc0 release candidate build:
-audio
-improvements to some models
-more UI cues (not just injury but recovery and maybe more specific injury types)
-some optimizations to the network layer on the server
-fake lighting updates on the client-side
-fix some issues with z-fighting in block selection

Note that this pre-release is compatible with OctoberPlains 1.2 and OctoberProject server 1.2.

After that, work on OctoberPeaks 2.0 (and OctoberProject 2.0) will begin, which will be mostly be about polishing some internal mechanics and generalizing how they are used so that content can be added using only the data files. It is likely that OctoberPlains development will end once this work gets started as it has been of minimal use relative to the update and release overhead it has incurred.
