It seems to just be a problem in how IPFS builds its swarm and index. It seems like sometimes it just takes a very long time to find something. You can usually identify that something like this might be causing a problem with the "Users you Follow" page: "Last checked" and "Last success" should normally be the same but may differ if the person hasn't been online in a day or if the network is being difficult.

In theory, more users following you on Cacophony (if there were a user base) would make it less likely that people would have this problem when searching for your data. As the network is currently very sparse, this is just a problem which sometimes happens.

I have noticed that restarting IPFS seems to sometimes address this but that isn't a reliable work-around (it seems to find different peers which might randomly know about your data).
