Last set of doctor's appointments for the year was an ultrasound on my legs to check for blood clots.
No blood clots, my large veins are working perfectly but apparently I was born with extra veins. My family doctor's office secretary freaked me out calling the morning of my second appointment with the specialist by saying "please consult with the specialist as some of your veins don't work leading to swelling" o_O!
The swelling is from 5 years in a wheelchair said the specialist! The specialist said to I quote "do nothing unless you want to hang yourself upside down like a bat!!"
Which means my compression stockings I've had for 2 years are not needed. I just need to exercise more, so today we went to the mall again to walk for a couple of hours.
I really hate malls, would rather buy stuff online. Starting tomorrow, I can wear my braces again, as I bought regular knee-high soccer socks that hopefully will be here by 10 tonight.
This year has been crazy, from my dad's death in January, to my hospitalization, to getting out of the damn chair, to a barrage of never ending doctor's appointments
I am looking forward to 2025, hopefully the bad stuff will slow down.
My brother and his wife came over last weekend to finally put up all the rest of the art and pictures in our condo. My mom wanted to put a huge family professional photo from 2014 over the table we eat at. My dad is front and centre in the photo. Well, when my other brother came yesterday he had to take it down because my mom couldn't look at it anymore. This Saturday I'm going to a grief circle on handling the holidays. Hasn't gotten hard for me yet but going to a couple of grief circles might be good anyway.
