Is this aging?

Is this aging?
This winter has been odd in that I keep getting sick. This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I have been sick since the new year and, historically, I would only get sick 0-1 times per year.

I don't even know where I caught whatever this is since it came on too late in the week to be from the weekend (exposure on Saturday usually means illness on Monday, not Thursday). That said, it is also something pretty mild so maybe it is something different than a usual cold.

Frustratingly, this is causing me to skip the wedding of one of my exes, today. I was looking forward to that since it would have been nice to get out and see some people, plus it is nice to be explicitly included like that. I was also planning on going out after that, which is now also not happening.

Another odd thing is that, during this morning's weigh-in, the scale said 66.2 kg. While this value isn't completely unthinkable, it is odd when I ate a normal amount yesterday and the number is usually around 67-68. Then again, that heat for a fever must come from somewhere so maybe my caloric requirements are unusually high.

But all of these things make me wonder if this is just what getting older feels like: Sick all the time and underweight while reading slowly becomes more difficult.

Of course, I suspect it has more to do with human contact, but I am definitely losing age's favour. Before the pandemic, I would see people all the time, now I typically interact with 1-2 people per week (and the same people each week). Occasional nights out clubbing then result in me getting a bad cold a few days later, potentially since that is the first time I haven't been isolated in weeks and I am just catching up to what I would have encountered in smaller doses, earlier.

At least the work on this rather large OP release is almost done, so hopefully I will have that out soon.

We will see how things go,
