I find it odd that I keep finding the song, "Komm, süsser Tod", stuck in my head. The song, itself, isn't really my kind of thing but something about the scene it plays over in End of Evangelion makes it memorable.
In an odd way, I realized that it reminds me of the feeling of "Comfortably Numb" in "The Wall" (although I also like that song, on its own, but the movie does add to it). They both invoke a rather down, yet relaxing, kind of feeling.
Not something to roll around in (as they both have a theme of giving up) but still soothing in their odd way.
On a related note, it is annoying that the Rebuild series of movies is actually difficult to find. It seems like the only legal way to access them is via Amazon Prime, and I am clearly not doing the entertainment monopoly thing, so that isn't happening. Otherwise, it seems like it is easy to buy the final one and it might be possible to track down the earlier ones. However, since I have heard mixed things about these, I don't actually want to buy them without being certain that I will like them. Plus, there is a lot of duplication against the existing series so I am not sure that is valuable. Also, I heard that they made some changes to Asuka, which makes me a little concerned (probably not my favourite character but a very interesting one, as she was).
Anyway, this isn't too important and is just some of the background musings on my mind over the past few days,
