Armchair Activists
So today is supposed to be "Strike for Gaza" day. There are people in the world actually staying home and not doing anything today because they think that will demand another ceasefire in a war-torn area across the world. I am tired, I am so tired of seeing these "armchair activists".

Bill Gates said something recently along the lines of "I thought the internet would make people more responsible but it just made a critical mass of crazy people find each other"... I agree.

I understand one thing -- Nasri posting about Gaza, because he's Palestinian and lost his father last year. So he has no one to bounce this tragedy off of - also he has a big platform. It's gotten better since his record company dropped him and he started working with his little brother (who conveniently owns a record company) but MAGIC! is not coming back from that and I doubt his solo act is either. He's just writing for other people now like he has for years upon years. He keeps reposting stuff from @eyeonpalestine kids being pulled from the rubble, injured/dead children. It's so damn sad.

I miss instagram when it wasn't full of people running or participating in "movements" and I could just use it to escape reality and look at art. I wish the people (that can) would get off their asses and move rather than type their fingers to the bone. I would too, if I didn't have a chair. Mind you, I still am doing my part but I don't know where to send donations and don't trust that they will get there, so what else can I do from here? Ugh, so frustrating.
