Hmm, I am actually concerned that their claims to decentralization (since the system is theoretically federated) are mostly just empty since I heard something about that functionality being a future consideration, although I am not sure what the current state, really is. I know that I generally get concerned with any system which is too highly centralized within one provider, since they could decide to break any federated or decentralized aspect at any time. This is part of the difficulty of humans not wanting to manage responsibility for what they use, though.
I know that Bluesky also has a bit of a reputation of being full of politically pickled left-wing extremists, but I am not sure how representative of their user base or content that actually is. I know that a lot of that came from the era where they lost censorship control at Twitter so I wonder if they have it there or if they just went there out of spite. Unfortunately, I haven't heard of many people using it due to technical considerations (although I have heard some say that, which is something).
But, it is good to hear that you liked Evangelion. The movie, End of Evangelion, also goes along with that run of the series (being considered an alternative to, or overlapping with, episodes 25 and 26 of the series). Personally, I think it makes sense to consider them both happening concurrently, so that makes the movie and the series complimentary.
I know that the series definitely had a big impact on me and took several days to properly settle in my mind.
Did you have more specific thoughts about it?
