Uniformity of the Quantum Foam
There have been a few times this summer, and today was one such example, when I noticed something odd. While sitting in the park, I looked up from my book and noticed that there were actually several people sitting around the same part of the park, all doing roughly the same thing. They were almost all alone, most sitting on a blanket or mat, many simply doing nothing. Some were reading, some were writing in notebooks, some were on calls, some were staring at there phones, but a good number were simply doing nothing.

It got me wondering: How many of us are doing exactly the same thing at this very moment? Could it be that we are sitting there, not just to be immersed in pleasant weather, but also to be in places occupied by humans? Is it possible that many of us do seek connection but don't know how to initiate it?

Looking at myself, this got me thinking: "Even if I felt as though I were allowed to initiate conversation with anyone here, how would I even choose?" It seems as though this may be the other part of my old "context of association" concern from years back (initially gating said "permission to interact").

So, if there is no obvious similarity or existing connection, how would I even choose where to bootstrap something?

It reminded me of the old idea that the only reason why the universe isn't one uniform block of matter and energy is because quantum-scale uncertainty at the time of rapid inflation caused irregularities in the distribution of matter and energy in the early universe. So, in that sense, if some force suddenly pulled all but 1 of those other people to the other side of the park, maybe progress would be possible.

As it stands, we are all in too stable an equilibrium with all forces perfectly balanced and the ability to do useful work nonexistent.

Hey, if you feel powerless to solve problems you can at least over-think them,
