I tried the Bumble app last night.
It looked kinda promising, but it was hard to swipe left or right on people (never did that before my online dating experiences were on OG non-dating sites and Fetlife)
Both my nephew and niece found their partners on Bumble, so I wanted to try it. However because I'm not specifically looking for dates they put me on the "friends" part of the app and showed me a bunch of women. I'm not against finding female friends, I think I found one I would click with because we are both writers. The other women my age like travelling and cottaging apparently but anyway I ended up deleting the app pretty soon after I got it.
I decided I'm not as desperate for friends or partners as the people on the show "Virgins" on TLC that I was watching at the time. That's a pretty funny show. They are so obsessed with sex and the fact that they are not getting it that it's funny. I watched 4 episodes, the one guy in it was 34 and looked like Charles Manson.
One woman who was divorced but still a virgin and 42 went to do Shibari. This guy named "Scarecrow" flogged her and tied her up. To me, Shibari has nothing to do with sex though. I dunno, am I wrong?
Other than that, yesterday, I started an adult connect the dot book for my concentration, went to a financial lunch and learn on zoom, and applied for a volunteer position
with The League of Canadian Poets, so we'll see where that goes. The adult connect the dots book is good for concentration and eye-hand coordination, it's something I used to do when I first broke my arm and I enjoyed it. The drawing I did yesterday has 375 dots and ended up being a toucan (the book is called Animal Kingdom) It's still a work in progress, I think I will colour it.
