Went for a long walk, today. My eventual destination was Dufferin Mall, to get a Cinnabon, but I figured I would take the long way.
I walked down to Queen and Dufferin, to get a sense of how far away that intersection is. A new club, Ground Control, is opening probably around the end of September, which is probably where a lot of the goth events will end up relocating. I knew it was far away but wasn't sure how far. Walking straight down Queen, it took about 40 minutes. For context, the same walk to where The Cat was takes me just over 20 minutes.
So, while it may mean it is feasible for the walk home, that is a long walk to put at the beginning of a night so a streetcar will be involved. Still, looking forward to seeing how the new place works out. There is a lot of optimism around the crowd, it would seem.
From there, walked up to the mall. After eating the Cinnabon, I walked back along Bloor, down to St George. In all, the whole trip took nearly 3 hours.
For context, my usual walk to Dufferin Mall via Dundas only takes about 45 minutes while this longer route took about 70.
Nothing else big going on. Since getting home, I have been poking a bit at some documentation reworks so I will probably continue with that, tonight.
