Ah, the 80s was such a great era of techno-optimism. Humans were starting to get really good at building and using electronics and there seemed to be this general idea that this was making life better and that trajectory would only improve as we continued.
Who could have foreseen a future where we are divided and unable to understand each other as a result of electronic proliferation and our individual freedoms have been replaced with digital feudalism where we are mostly owned by companies who spy on us to make us to either use that information against us or to sell us as marketing data.
