So, the odometer will roll over in a couple of hours and 2026 will begin.

This year has, for better or worse, been much like the one before.

I do know that I need to keep in mind the belief that humans are generally friendly and looking for connections, since I have spent the past few years believing that humans were disgusted with the existence of others and wished nothing to do with them. Not surprisingly, the old adage is more true than ever: "Don't believe everything you read on the internet."

Otherwise, no specific plans for this year other than more of the same from last year. OctoberProject is coming along well and I will be continuing with that. I should also revisit Cacophony to re-test with later versions and see if I can further harden the local storage (not sure if that issue I have seen on Windows is related to the lack of atomic file rename or the possibility that a closed file isn't already synced - none of those possibilities really make sense where this is observed).

As for tonight, I am not doing much since I am still recovering from that cold which sunk my Saturday plans. I doubt that I am still contagious, but still feeling a bit off and it isn't endearing me to the idea of going out to a random pub full of only strangers in the middle of a cold night (as that was my only "plan").

I hope that everyone else has found something fun to do, though.
