Kafka Trap
I hadn't heard of a name for this rhetorical tactic until just the other day but it feels like a frustratingly familiar bit of nonsense.

I linked an article which describes it, and provides a few examples of how it is sometimes applied (albeit with a bizarrely political slant - I would have preferred something as descriptive but in a less loaded context), but the basic gist is "your denial of guilt is used as the proof of guilt" regarding some accusation.

With how often I hear Franz Kafka come up in passing, I wonder if it is worth tracking down any of his writing. I am not sure if it would be interesting (hence why everyone seems to know of it) or frustrating (hence why everyone references it).
