I walk through the new demo9 release, showing the basic "logic wire" design which is now present.
In terms of logic-sensitive blocks added, this includes: Doors, switches, lamps, and the logic wire. In terms of further automation, a hopper has been included (which can point in different directions, depending on where in the block the mouse is when placing).
Some other small changes have been made to the crafting UI and creature speed.
Next up is the demo10 release, which will be the last of the "demo" release series before transitioning development into a "pre-release" series (meaning the scope of mechanics will be complete but may change in implementation, beyond the other concerns of balance, optimization, and fleshing out of blocks and features). This demo release will introduce swimming and drowning. The time-frame of this isn't yet too clear as it may require a re-thinking of the basic entity movement mutation logic.
Note that demo9 was previously described as the final demo release before I realized that swimming was missing and is required for initial release so now the final demo planned is demo10.
Thanks for checking it out,
Jeff.
