Recent optimization work on OP has been going well (scraping the bottom of the barrel of what I wanted to improve or try, for this release), so I decided to go watch a movie, this afternoon (been a few years since I have done that). I had heard good things about Project Hail Mary so I decided to check that out.

It was a good movie. For some reason, it didn't strike me as strongly as something like Oppenheimer (which I think is the last time I went to the movies), but it was definitely very solid and I would recommend it.

I still find it surprising that the goofy guy I used to see on Breaker High ended up becoming a big movie star. It was why I always found it odd when people talked about he usually plays very stoic characters, since that isn't how I remember him. I can't tell what makes a good actor but I have never been "taken out" of the movie experience in anything where I have seen him, so I assume he knows what he is doing.

Definitely worth the watch,
