Hmm, that is an odd one but I suspect that the update forced Cacophony to stop while saving back state so it corrupted it. Good to hear that you were able to patch that up. I keep thinking I should do something to improve that but the difficulty is that the other problem with corruption you have seen is one which shouldn't be possible and I am not sure if it is related to this problem. It sounds like something Windows-specific (when closing a file and renaming it, it might not have finished writing it... somehow). I could come up with some kind of fall-back strategy but I wonder if it would have the same problem, potentially just a little less often.

Hopefully that cat gets adopted soon. That is too bad to hear that people backed out part-way through the process.

Hopefully that other non-profit is actually helpful and not just another thinly veiled group trying to create a surveillance state with an interest in broad censorship (like the current UK government).
